Our nursery is situated in a prominent position in High Street, Thorpe-le-Soken
In 1997 Christine Smith opened Margery’s Day Nursery, through an opportunity to convert an established building into a homely, secure caring and stimulating environment for children from Birth.
We pride ourselves on creating a quality childcare provision that offers quality care and learning experiences and development opportunities through a wide range of play-based activities.
We pride ourselves in providing varied nutritious healthy snacks and meals using local grown produce. Children have opportunities to develop knowledge of where their food comes from and growing their own vegetables.
The open plan design of the nursery is created on two levels:
Ground floor consists of two areas sectioned into Ducklings ( 0-2 years), Swallows (2-3 years).
Upper floor is a large spacious area where our pre-school (3-5)
Children have access to a wide variety of play and learning opportunities, with cosy areas for rest and opportunity to relax.
Throughout the day they access an extensive garden area consisting of part concrete, including all-weather undercover area and part grass. Children use a wide range of physical equipment and enjoy spending time gardening, growing flowers and vegetables, or relaxing in our sensory garden.
